Biography of Little Erich

Born in Detroit, MI, singer/songwriter Eric Weinberg grew up in Washington, DC. At the age of nine, he learned to play guitar, wrote his first song and he also performed his songs on Washington, DC street corners as ‘Little Erich’, a nickname given to him by the older boys in his band. After high school, Eric was admitted to the world-renowned Berklee College of Music from which he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1992.
In the years since, Eric has won numerous songwriting awards and averaged 100 gigs a year, performing mostly on the East Coast, as well as in his adopted countries -- Texas and Ireland! He has also composed and arranged original music for the soundtracks of original films and puppet shows. Many people know Eric from his performances with Bill Parsons and Dinorock. He is the former musical director of Grammy-nominated performing group, ‘Dinorock’.
To date, Eric has recorded his songs in his own studio. His demo CD, "Songs from the basement", is for sale, only on this website. His latest venture is the creation of a state-of-the-art recording studio - Little Erich Music Studio. |
